This is a blog with commentary on the world of boxing. The major fights will be discussed but other topics are on the table as well. Amateurs, the business of boxing, the Olympics and events in and around my Central California base are all in play.
Boxing’s a brutal sport. And it’s a beautiful sport. It’s strength and power as well as grace and science. My Dad went to closed-circuit fights in the ’70’s when the heavyweights were the main attraction. I grew up with boxing and have had many gut-wrenching moments that have threatened to drive me away.
But I’m still here. Always will be.
