The main event tops a Matchroom card which also features Andy Cruz vs. Hironori Mishiro in an IBF lightweight eliminator. The show takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York and is being telecast on DAZN.
Hitchins won his title in December with a split-decision victory over Liam Paro. Kambosos Jr. won multiple lightweight titles by beating Teofimo Lopez at this same venue in 2021. He then lost those belts to Devin Haney in 2022 and came up short again in a rematch.
